April Card of the Month

Hi Lovelies,  Although Easter is long gone now,  there's never a time when super cute baby animals are not appropriate.  Today I'm sharing with you these adorable cards designed by Linda for our April Card of the Month. Using Blue Fern's 'Spring Parade', six beautifully intricate cards were made.  Each one of them overflowed with cuteness thanks to the bunnies, chicks and pastel flowers which decorated the pages.  As always, Linda brought the papers to life by fussy cutting the little animals and embellishing with punched butterflies, delicate crochet cotton, muslin and tiny bling.    The Ultimate Crafts Embossing Folder 'Antiquity' was used to add a  delicate texture to the background and tag on this precious card.  This card perfectly showcases how a bit of bling and  Glitzin Glamour can make any project stand out. Here's a closer snapsh...

Art Journal Class 27th June

Hi Lovelies,  Yesterday some of our Art Journal ladies gathered for a class with Helen to create this beautiful page. As always, the ladies have endless amount of fun, while learning new techniques  and leaving with their very own masterpiece. The ladies began by spritzing their page with Tim Holtz Distress sprays and Dylusions to create a base. Jo Sonja's paint was then added to a few sections for more dimension. A multi size circle stencil was then used with Jo Sonja's  paints to add small pops of colour. The key to a good art journal page is layers, so another  was added to the page using various stamps in different colours. After a light wash of Dylusions 'White Linnen' to soften and blend everything  together, the ladies were ready to draw and colour their flowers. The pages turned out beautifully and everyone was very impressed with their work. When you look closely, there are so m...

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm sharing with you one of our many stunning up coming classes. This here is Helen's beautiful mini album using Bo Bunny's 'Baby Bump'. This album is beautiful all the way from the front cover to the last page.  The front is embellished with adorable hand punched flowers,  die-cut ferns and bling details. Inside there are sixteen lovely pages, with many having extra little pockets and fold outs.  This provides ample space to store all your precious memories and keepsakes. Here you can see the adorable window frame pocket (pictured above) folded out.  This is a perfect way to display and store you photos in an interactive manner. The paper selected for this album is very versatile  and can suit photos from various occasions. There are so many compartments and pockets, you'll have a bundle of fun creating the album  and even more going back through it and finding hidden little memori...

June Layout of the Month

Hi Lovelies,  As you may know, every month the lovely Helen designs a Double Layout of the Month. This month two whimsical pages have been created using Ultimate Crafts' L'Aquarelle paper range.  The layouts feature the cool purple and blue tones from the range and of course the beautiful butterflies and flowers that just beg to be fussy cut. This month's double layout has space for five of your precious photos.  Helen has also used the Rambling Rose 'Grateful' stamp and die set to create the beautiful verse, "those who are happiest are grateful for everything that they have" The coordinating metal dragonflies, butterflies and bling  are the perfect finishing touches.   There are a few kits left so come in quick  if this beautiful layout took your fancy.

Nature's Sketchbook Cards

Hi lovelies, Recently we shared a beautiful Graphic 45 Nature's Sketchbook Box created by Helen.  Today I'd love to show you the stunning coordinating cards that belong inside, designed by the lovely Linda.  Linda has used various embellishments to compliment these gorgeous papers,  such as this adorable little dragonfly cabochon. This card is so sweet and is one of my favourites!  Making cleaver use of the 'Bee Yourself' sentiment, Linda has used a nesting honeycomb die, the bee paper and an adorable metal bee embellishment to create this lovely card.  Glossy accents, dyed muslin and a fussy cut butterfly are  perfect accompaniments to the beautiful patterns and verses from this paper range. This card is a sure winner for the lovers of ferns.  With a patterned fern background and a statement fern journalling card, what more could you want! As always, Linda's cards are truly stunning. ...

Hi lovelies  It seems like forever since I did a blog post.   A day or 2 go by and suddenly months have passed. I wanted to share with you the latest Box and Card class that was taught by Helen and Linda. This time these talented ladies chose to use  Graphic 45's Nature Sketchbook range, and the results were stunning. Helen created this gorgeous box from an encyclopedia cover. The lid featured a garden filled butterflies, flowers, branches and leaves.  While the inside was a little less embellished it is a perfect accompaniment for Linda's cards. Till next time.
