It's all about the birds.

Hi lovelies, Did you all manage to keep warm last night.  It was a little chilly here, which was not helped by the fact that we left the outer door to the van open.  What silly people we are. Today was such a beautiful day. We went for a short drive to the dam on the property. It is obvious that the dam is suffering from the lack of water, but we were blessed to see some gorgeous birds. On returning to the van we were met by a number of birds that decided it was time for their lunch. We are so blessed to have such a variety of birdlife around the van. Remember to sing the song - "There was one in the bed..... "   They are quite inquisitive,  but keep an eye on the humans just to make sure we are not going to do anything untoward. This gorgeous butcher bird decided that as I had vacated my chair it was all for him.  He entertained Rob with a concert.  He did not even seem to concerned when I returned. We were also

And we're back.

Hi lovelies, I know it has been a bit since we let you know where we were on our adventures.  Due to never-ending paperwork, we had to return to Toowoomba for a couple of days.  It was a mad rush visit, and we took a couple of days out to visit my mum and dad.  That was lovely.  We are back on the road, but need to stick close to home for the next few weeks while we await more paperwork, but we are pleased to be able to get out and about again. This park is mainly for off-road bikes and cars, and caters very well for the

I will admit that I was a little nervous of the traffic, which is why we waited until after the rush hour to leave.   We did very well I think and the GPS keeps us on track.  It took just over an hour to get to the docks were Mike was and is was so lovely to see him.     We pottered around and sat watching the river for a bit.   Had a spot of lunch and then set off to collect Seb (my nephew) from school.        School in inner Sydney suburbs is a bit of an eyeopener.   The schools are fenced and gates locked.   You cannot ent
