 Hi all, Here a brief overview of our 2 day adventure on Fraser Island with Fraser Island Explorer Tours. Here is a link to our trip in video format.  https://youtu.be/QY8tr093G4o We were picked up from our accommodation by our tour guide who then picked up some more of our group and headed to the barge to go across to the Island. It was very smooth no seasickness this time :) We got on the 4x4 wheel bus and headed inland to Lake Mackenzie. This was a very picturesque spot. The water was very cool and the sand as white as we've seen it. After this we headed to Central station , the old tree clearing head quarters. Next we headed for Lake Wobby which was a 45 min trek in and 45 out across lots of sand. It sits on a big sand-blow which will eventually disappear. A small fresh water lake with a couple of cat fish in it. Then off to our accommodation for the night. Hi lovelies, Today was our first “let’s go for a walk” day for a while.   😊 . We headed off for Abercrombie Caves, which are about 60km south-eastish of Bathurst.   Now the good news is – before we went I checked on the days they are open, and we actually found the caves without getting lost. The bad news – well none really.    The road to the caves off the highway is very narrow and very windy and with very steep drop-offs.   We actually followed the ranger car in, so if there was someone coming the other way he was going to meet them first.    We got our pass tokens to enter the caves and headed off.   The walk is only about 1 ½ km round trip, so not a big walk, and only one up-hill part and a long set of stairs down to the entrance of the caves. Hi lovelies, Well as much as I tried, I could not get Robbie to do the blog today.   I said it was Father’s Day so he should do it, he said as he had done the last couple it was my turn.   😊 . We have had a wonderful time doing father-type things today. First, I called my Dad and we had a lovely chat.      Our plans for the day were to have a leisurely morning before heading off to the National Motor Racing Museum. I had booked Robbie (and me) to have a trip around the Bathurst circuit in a Holden Monaro. We arrived a little early so that we could have a walk around the museum until it was time for our ride.   When we arrived, they also had rides available on a “motor-trike”, so we booked one of those as well. The Museum was wonderful.   So much history.   They also have an immersion room where they show a surround-video of a lap of the circuit.   Really cool. Lots of cars, Bikes, ...
