Fabulous Foamiran Flowers

Hi Lovelies, We have been having so much fun at the shop lately making these stunning foamiran flowers! They turned out beautifully so we just had to share them with you! These lovely flowers look amazing and are actually so simple to make! All you need to make these flowers is the fantastic new Couture Creations Foamiran, your favourite flower die, a heat tool, stamens and inks if you wish. The Foamiran sheets make flower making and absolute breeze, as all you need to do is heat and scrunch to form these beautiful flowers! We added stamens to secure the petal layers together and add some delicate detail to the centre. We have a large collection of these sweet little stamens in-store so you're sure to find some that suit your project! The fun part about creating your own flowers is getting to customise the colour completely. We used a selection of Tim Holtz Inks to create some gorgeous soft and vibrant flowers. Once you try making these flowers y...

Mega Scrap - Cest La Vie

Hi Lovelies, I should let you have a moment to catch your breath before you start scrolling through this blog post as the stunning photos you're about to see will really take your breath away!   Okay, I hope you're still breathing and have enough brain function to read this text.  These gorgeous snapshots all come from our first Mega Scrap class of this year which features 'C'est La Vie' by Couture Creations. The wonderful Helen has been at is again to prepare TEN unique, individual and entirely beautiful layouts using the one range and taught on the one day! This range is overflowing with lovely floral designs in pink, mauve and cream tones. Some decoupage pages have been included in this range which Helen has used here for this stunning arrangement.    Helen is a master at creating beautiful embellishment clusters which you also learn in her classes! These adorable chipboard bees from the collection have a coat of gold embossin...

March Layout of the Month

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm sharing with you the wonderful double layout for this month's Layout of the Month! Helen has selected Ultimate Craft's stunning 'Bohemian Bouquet' range to create two pages filled with beautiful hand-dyed flowers, elegant laces and intricate fussy cut designs. This layout uses one of Helen's signature techniques of hand-dying flowers. This is a wonderful way to ensure your embellishments co-ordinate with your chosen paper range and create a seamless finish. How gorgeous is this lace and ribbon combination?! The muted tones of the flowers, lace and papers used in this layout will perfectly suit any of your photos! The layers of patterned papers, fussy-cut designs, hand dyed flowers and lace work perfect together, creating a high impact layout without distracting from your photos. Helen has selected a few sentiments and words from the 'Bohemian Bouquet' pages to add to her layout. There are so many sweet verse...

Go Press and Foil Fun

Hi lovelies, Yesterday a couple of ladies joined me for a morning of playing with the Couture Creations Go Press and Foil Machine. We had such a fun time, and ladies created some lovely samples. Some we turned into card fronts and some even got turned into cards.   Everything was going along just fine. Then we started foiling ribbon. One of the ladies used the "Celebrate" Stamp to create this. We were all thought that the stamp was faulty. We even went so far as to call the lovely ladies at ArtDeco Creations to ask if anyone else had experienced the same problem. Then we found out that if you put it the correct way up it is just perfect. I often joke that we "Hill-folk" are a little different.  We laughed and laughed. Hope it made you smile.

Sea Gull Box cards.

Hi Lovelies, This is the second of the boxed cards that have been taught by Linda recently. This box featured the Couture Creations Sea Breeze papers and the "Seagulls over the Ocean" die. This is just truly amazing card.  The waves are embossed with Stampendeous Sparkle Puff embossing powder. The seagulls are all hand painted using Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  There are even some on the back of the card. I was really lucky that the one that we displayed in store is for me :-)
