Last Night for the Van

We have visited some more very interesting places in the past 2 days. Yesterday we left our site at Stockton-on-Tees and headed to see the Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum. This was our choice to try and see some of Hadrian’s Wall before leaving England.   The wall stretched across the country Model of what was here The museum was pretty cool with lots of display of items that had been found while the old fort was being excavated. Bye Scotland - Hello England

What an amazing day. We left Glasgow and headed south. Our first stop was Gretna Green, and the Famous Blacksmith Shop. This was pretty cool. The maze from above Lots of history regarding English couples dashing over the border to Scotland so that they could marry before the age of 21. In the maze Meet and kiss. We wandered around the Courtship Maze and were lucky enough to meet at the bridge. 😊 We headed past the Love Lock display and then into the blacksmith shop museum to see the display. There was a group in one of the chapels having their photos taken. All dressed up in Halloween style dress. Not sure if they were renewing their vows or getting married, but it was pretty interesting. No photos as we though they might thin’ it was a bit rude. Carlisle  Castle Carlisle cathedral Impressive stained glass windows Our next stop was to Carlisle to visit the Cathedral there. After a bit of a dummy spit by me becaus...
