Celestine Mannequin

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm sharing with you a previous class from our series  of mannequins designed by the lovely Helen.  This mannequin involves lots of flowers...  I'm talking more than 200 flowers... individually hand dyed.  This little lady was inspired by a Christian Dior dress and Helen has created her interpretation using layers of hand dyed flowers and bridal tulle.  As always, the mannequins are absolutely beautiful from every angle.  Celestine has a delicate set of feather wings on her back surrounded by ribbons and flowers. The bodice is made completely from flowers which the ladies  hand dyed and individually arranged into clusters. The flowers then cascade down the skirt of the dress with  tiny iridescent bling scattered throughout.  Celestine is just breath taking and every one of the 200 flowers  on this mannequin definitely pay off.

June Card of the Month

Hi Lovelies,  Today I'd love to show you a few of the beautiful cards from June's Card of the Month kit. For anyone who's favourite flowers are roses, you will absolutely love these cards.  This month the cards were designed by the gorgeous Annie using Ultimate Craft's paper range 'Rambling Rose'.  The range is filled with delicate pink, purple and yellow roses, birds and butterflies.  To create a beautifully seamless card front , Annie has mixed the Cherish Me Doily die  with the Martha Stewart Half Daisy Edge Punch. Annie has fussy cut the yellow roses from this paper range to create a lovely lemon card.  To add dimension, two of the coordinating bunting pieces were tucked into the rose cluster.  The 'Grateful' Stamp & Die Set was used to create a beautiful verse and is the perfect finish to any card. Sometimes all you need is a little bit of foam tape to create a feature element. Here A

July Layout of the Month

Hi Lovelies, Today's post is the stunning Double Layout for July using Graphic 45's 'Nature Sketchbook'. The bold, bright colours in this range were just destined to create a fun filled layout as such.  This month the pages are scattered with vibrant butterflies, hand died flowers and die-cut ferns. Helen has used a selection of Tim Holtz Distress Inks including 'Candied Apple', 'Blueprint Sketch' and 'Wild Honey' to die paper flowers, ensuring they match the colours in the paper range. These adorable little butterflies have been fussy cut and finished off with a coat of glossy accents.  As Helen has done, when using beautifully patterned papers like Graphic 45's, a simple plain cardstock background can make all the elements jump off the page, creating a striking layout.  If you're loving our posts about the Layout of the Month kits, why not contact us to be put on our pre-order list to mak
