A little stencil fun.

Hi lovelies,

On the weekend I had a chance to play with the new Couture Creations Anna Griffin Arabesque Stencils, and I love them.

They are slightly thicker than most other stencils so I could apply a generous amount of my texture paste.

I also love the fact that the stencil is coloured.  This meant that when I went to apply the paste to only certain areas of the stencil I did not have to mask them off.  You just have to love short cuts in crafting

I used the Secret Garden Stencil with Dreamweaver Crackle Paste.  When the paste had set and cracked I used my watercolours to apply a wash of colour.  It was great that the wash flowed down into the cracks.  For those who know me, it was a shaky day, so the painting was not as steady as I wished.

I did have a lot of fun and can't wait to use the other stencils.

  1. You've created a beautiful project - the watercolour wash has given the design a lovely shading - nice work!!

    1. Thanks Alison,
It was fun playing. The crackle embossing paste and stencil depth made it so very easy. Now if I just had more time to play.
