Hi again all, my turn tonight to flap on about what we've been up to the last couple of days. Well yesterday we were suppose to find a nice little boutique village to look at -- but--got there and found , you guessed it nothing. So we ventured off to Canberra to visit the War Museum. Simpson and the donkey It really does make you think about the the world and what people will do to protect their country and also what provokes countries to war against each other. The lives lost and injured in the process. Hi lovelies, Yesterday I was finally recovered enough to get out and see some of the beautiful area around Yass. We decided that we would take the tourist drive to Wee Jasper.  The leaflet had 12 items of interest on the route, so we made sure we had our walking shoes and a coat, as it was a cold and windy day. Alas we did not find the ruins of the Harp of Erin Inn.  Coodravale Station, which was once owned by Banjo Paterson was no where to be seen, Swinging Bridge Reserve has no bridge, and Casey's Caves are only open on the weekend. We did however still have a great time and enjoyed the outing. The road between Yass and Wee Jasper is a little windy and very narrow in places, but some of the scenery along the way is stunning.  Due to the weather conditions our photos do not do justice to the prettiness of it. One of the things we did find along the way were the limestone rock formations.  The patterns were amazing and a wonder to see. ...

Hi lovelies, It is a few days since we went paid a visit to the Adelong Falls Gold Mine outside Tumut, but I have been a bit under the weather so only sharing now. The town of Adelong is just west of Tumut and is a lovely little town.  We visited the Gold Mine ruins and had a wander around and check out the creek and the ruins.   A lot of work has been done to make the ruins safely accessible for visitors.  Walking tracks and signed areas make it easy to find things. It was great to walk around and check out some of the working of the days when the gold mine was a working operation.  The site office. One of the water wheels. The Managers house and garden. The furnace and the chimney in the background.  They are a long way from each other. The river was really pretty and a little chilly. We had a great time and I would recommend it as a place to visit. Hi lovelies, We have had such a wonderful time with the family at Patanga and yesterday we were blessed to witness the arrival of two beautiful little kids. We were on our way to a BBQ when the kids were born.   We stopped to check on the mum to see how she was going.   She was having a little trouble and unfortunately her first kid was a breach birth and did not survive.   It was a harsh reminder that life on the land can be harsh.   It was all hands on deck for the arrival of the next little girl. Mum gave her a bit of a check out. Then it was not long before the her sister arrived.
