Day 6 - Tin Can Bay

Evening lovelies,

Today was a little different.

This morning we ventured off the the local second hand store, where I picked up some books to keep in the van ready for our next trip.  A bargain at 10 books for $5.  Even Robbie got 3 for himself.

We then had an early lunch and it was off the the Country Club for a round of golf.  No sillies, I did not play, but I did have fun in driving the buggy and laughing at the boys.  Alas Nana was a little ill today, so she stayed home.

It is the first time I have been on a golf course in about 30 years, and I have never seen Gramps and Rob play together.  It is quite the experience. 😁

Gramps is left handed and he mostly hit his balls down the left side of the course.

Rob is right handed and played mostly down the right hand side of the course, and a little in the trees.

I could have taken some photos of them making good shots, but where is the fun in that.  😂

I think it was a good idea that we had two carts as they were both often off in different directions.

Robbie must have felt a little sorry for me not going to the beach today, so he played a little in the sand.

There were a couple of lovely lakes which had surprisingly clear water, and the odd duck or two.  The boys managed to stay out of the water which was good.

Other bird life included some magpies who are so cheeky, they hop up on your cart when you get off to see if there is anything worth pinching.

All in all it was a fun afternoon and I think I would go again to be the driver.

After golf it was time for a short rest, evening nibbles, bubbles and dinner.

Things I learnt today -
Watching golf is not as boring as I thought.  I was very entertained.
There is no penalty for playing an entire hole on the wrong fairway, though I believe there should be.
Golf balls can be hard to find when they are not on the fairway.

All for tonight lovelies,
Have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Lizzy

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
