NSW adventure - Valla Beach to Belingen

You may have seen some of the Lorikeet photos or videos we posted at our last stop. It was cool feeding and watching the birds go crazy over bread and a bit of honey. They weren’t afraid to climb all over us even our heads. You have watch out when they fight with each other on your arm. They tend to dig the claws into your arm!

We also saw some really cool street art which you can sit on or just admire at Nambucca Heads in the main street. Again, no fish about even in Nambucca - sad face.

We moved on up the road a bit today from Valla Beach to stay a few days at Bellingen. A small town just inland from Coffs harbor. From the looks of it and the shops, it seems to be a Greeny, New age, Hippy town but a still has a nice cosy feel to it.

notice the name - Emporium

It has the Ballenger River flowing through town which has little water in it but not deep.

We noticed walking around town that there are about 5 Op shops of sorts, a fair few ladies clothing shops, lots of cafes, and a few odd other shops. It looks like the place you drive to on the weekend for a relax and coffee in the country. Amazing how a few kms makes such a big difference to the feel of a town.
Lizzy dragged me into lots of dress shops!! She has taken to these instead of craft shops. I say,  “ Not another dress shop!!” She hasn’t spent much yet at least.
Up the streets of the main centre there are chairs out for us guys to sit in while the ladies check the shops. Lots of places have a water bowl out front for the dog to cool off and slurp at.

Looking forward to a visit to Dorrigo tomorrow. Yes, more waterfalls to see!!
Nana here is a cool plant to watch out for. Dangerous thing to get stuck in.

Here is one for you to figure out what it is and what it is used for. If you have lived in NSW you might know.
Do you know its name??

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
