NSW adventures - Wauchope to Valla Beach

Today we left Wauchope and ventured up through Kempsey, and then onto Crescent Head, South West Rocks, then onto Valla Beach where we are camping for a week.

After a visit to the tourist bureau in Kempsey we decided that we would head over to Crescent Head then venture on up the coast to see some sights.
Crescent Heads

Crescent Head had a small beach but not a lot else, so we continued up to South West Rocks. Along the way we drove beside the Belmore River. It was such a great sight that we both enjoyed the closeness of the river and the scenery. Very pleasant drive this was.

Belmore River drive

South West Rocks had some good things to visit and see. We had a wander along the foreshore getting blown away with 40k/hr winds. We visited a maritime museum and it was pretty good. Then we walked over to the craft shop for look see.

South West Rocks

We visited Trial Bay goal to see what was once a large goal that housed prisoners that we there to build a rock wall. They had little success apparently due to the rough sea. It was meant to be a haven in the 1800’s for visiting ships. This prison seemed quite advanced in treating and rehabilitating prisoners by giving them meaningful jobs and some amount of freedom. It was also used during the war to house German, so called spies. It is now a tourist spot and a home for some kangaroos.Well worth a visit here.

We also took a drive up to the lighthouse at Smokey Cape, which is still in operation and had a good view of the coast line.

That was enough, so we headed off to Valla Beach (just south of Nambucca Heads) where we are staying. Hope to get some good fishing in!! and a swim once the wind dies down a bit.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
