Amazing day in Sydney city.

Hi lovelies, Yesterday was another Vivid day, and it was a huge day.   Warning a photo and text heavy post. Our plan was to get some chores done in the morning and then about 9.30 head to the nearest Metro Station and catch the new train into the city. The best laid plans….   The first station we could not find the car park.   No idea where it is, no signs, no cars to follow, nothing.   So we headed to the next station, just a few minutes away.   First car park – full.   Second car park – 36 car parks available – wonderful and all near the entrance, how lucky were we.   Then arrived at the vacant spaces, and why are car parks close to the entrance of anywhere vacant – because they are for disabled drivers. So we decided to drive into Balmain, park near my brother’s unit and walk to Darling Harbour, because we knew where to go and it was only just over 2km.   We did miss one turn, but managed to walk along this gorgeou...

Vivid Fireworks, HIllsong, Elizabeth Farm.

Hi lovelies, Welcome to part 2 of Saturday.   We left you with us having two naps after visiting the markets. Around 4pm we headed back to Balmain to meet Mike and family for a walk to Darling Harbour to see the Vivid fireworks display.    The walk as not long, only 2 1/2km each way, but all paved, and nearly flat.   We crossed the Anzac Bridge and then past the Maritime Museum to Darling Harbour.     We all had some dinner and then settled to wait for the fireworks. There were some “transformer” type structures that were part of the display. They were pretty cool. There were street performers to keep everyone entertained until the fireworks were on. The fireworks were well worth the wait, and looked lovely against the night sky.         The photos really do not do it justice.
