A walk or two.

Hi lovelies,

Another gorgeous day here.

This morning we did our civic duty and voted.  Saves the long line on Saturday.

We then ventured up the coast just a little do the first of 2 walks we had planned for the day.

The first walk was the Ken and Audrey Owens Walk to Redhead Beach.  It was along a boardwalk and was quite lovely.

We could hear lots and lots of birds, but did not see to many.

These “Dalek” style structures were along the walk.  Anyone know what they are for?

The walk runs through the back of the dunes along the coast line and then finishes at Redhead Beach.

The beach was nice, and the cliff at the northern end was quite stunning.  Anyone else see a craggy old man, much like Gargamel from the Smurfs.

From there we walked back to our car, and then travelled to the Belmont end of the Fernleigh Track.  Little did we know this was on the same street where we had voted earlier.

The Fernleigh Track is an old railway track that goes from Belmont to Adamstown.

The track is 15km long and not a circuit, so that is a 30km walk.  We thought just a small part would do us today.

The path is paved and while walking and we met a number of other walkers and bike riders.

Again the birds were very vocal, and this time we were fortunate to catch glimpse of this little one.

One of the funny things was that the fence line along the track is adjusted to keep the trees outside the track path.

There was a bit of a debate over what was living in this structure up in a tree.

It was then off to the supermarket to grab sustenance for the week and back to the van.

Robbie had an afternoon nap and I caught up on some letter writing.
All for now lovelies

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
