North, West and South journeys.

Hi lovelies,

What a lovely week.  We arrived at Kalaru last Saturday and we have seen some wonderful things, just been slack at night. 😊

Our trips this week included a drive north along the coast.  We headed to the farthest point first and this was Camel Beach and Camel Rock.

A bit of fun really. The beach was beautiful,

and while the rock probably did resemble more of a camel a number of years ago.

We then headed back down the coast to Bermagui. We stopped at the breakwater,

at Fishermans Wharf,

at Bermagui Point

and then onto Blue Pool.

We both thought the water around the pool was bluer than pool, but perhaps it was because the pool was in shade.

We also took a trip west.

This one took us to Pipers Lookout.

This is on the Snowy Mountain Highway and gives a lovely view out over the Bega Valley.  The trip up was quite steep and I was not really looking forward to the trip back down.  God is good and kept me distracted.  We had gone for a walk on the track before heading back down and the high altitude along with the bracing air brought on an asthma attack, so I was a little preoccupied while Robbie headed back down the hill.

We stopped at the bottom of the mountain for a break at Bemboka.  This little town has a pottery display, alas this was not open on the day.

Breath back we headed for Candelo.

What a gorgeous historical village this is.

The shops and buildings are so cute

and there is a historical mural as well.

Our final trip was south to Merimbula.  A stunning seaside town with lots of oyster farms,

a gorgeous bay

and beautiful beach.  It also has some cool pelican sculptures.

There is a drive along the north side of the bay out to the aquarium and café, and Bay Beach is also lovely, with the most amazing red rocks.

Robbie did manage to go fishing a couple of times at the Wharf in Tathra.

Lots of fish caught and he even got to keep one.

We cooked the salmon on the BBQ.  It was not bad, but not something we would rush to eat again.

Certainly not as light as bream and whiting.

The weather has been quite cool and the end of the week a little windy. Most nights brought negative temps.  One of the disadvantages of being south for winter is that there is not as much daylight to get things done.

This week was a little sad as well in that at the beginning of the week a dear family friend passed away.  One of the things we are learning about living on the road is that it is hard not being able to help when family and friends are struggling.  We are thankful for modern communications and being able to keep in touch even though we cannot be there for physical hugs.

All for now lovelies.

Stay safe and keep enjoying life.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
