Patanga at Tooma.

Hi Lovelies,

Yesterday we travelled to the beautiful area of Tooma where we are spending a week on the property of Patanga.

The property is owned by a lovely family and we are here to help out where we can.
The property is mainly goats,

 with some cattle,

 horses,

 pigs,

chickens, geese and 3 dogs.

Currently Andrew (dad), is away working so we are helping Jaime (mum) and Amelia (daughter) where we can.

The farm is beautiful, and the area is so lovely and green.

It has been quite an experience so far.

We arrived yesterday afternoon and began helping to rewire one of the electric fences.  It is pretty tough work, with having to attach the porcelain insulators (ceramic cotton reel thingies) to star pickets.

We were more than a little tired and slept very well.

This morning I was up early and had a wander around to check out the animals.  It was so quiet and peaceful.

It was then off to work.

My job for the morning was cleaning out the foot bath up the race, including the force and the crush.   Do I sound like I knew what I was doing 😊.  Basically I used a gurney to clean a concrete area and a rubber mat area where tomorrow we will run the goats through a foot bath.

These two smarty-pants laughed at us most of the time.

It was then time for lunch and we enjoyed the pie we had picked up yesterday with a little bit of salad.

After lunch Robbie went back outside to help with the fencing again

while I stayed inside and helped in the house.  Much more my speed.

The outside workers got the fence finished, and then we got the evening chores done.

Robbie and I tried to get Blaze to round up the chickens, it was a little funny.  We confused the poor puppy so much.

It was a big day for all of us and we have some pretty sore muscles.  I think we will again sleep pretty well tonight.

All for now lovelies.

Stay safe and keep enjoying life.

Love us.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
