Day 2 Frankfurt

Today we found a walking tour of the city here by a University group. It was a really great. The guide was a local guy who lived nearby and gave us some good insights into the history of the city. The tour was about 2 hrs or so. We took in some famous sights and interesting facts about the rebuilding of the city after WWII.

Central Train Station
Famous Hotel where Celebs stay
Frankfurt is very central in Germany and has been a trading, political and financial hub for a long time. It is the home to the launched Euro dollar a few years back. Though not the capital it has a big influence on Germany. It is also a very Arty place as we have found out.

After the tour went over to the market area to have a squizz. Lots of meat, fish, fruit and veggies as you would expect.

Lots of tulip bulbs

Bread and Pastries are to to die for!!
After that we wanted to go to the Old Opera house area and tried to catch a train or bus but after a bit decided to grabbed an eco tour bike ride (Velotaxi) and went for 1/2 trip around on the way to the opera house. It was cool. Some good info from the driver, and he zoomed in and out of small places.

We saw this auto bus down by the river that goes up and down the road which has been closed to cars. No driver!!

We had some tastes of the local cuisine at a street market near where we are staying. Tried a German sausage in a bun, some potato type salad and some Apple wine. Quite nice.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
