Journey to Inverness

Today was a cool day but we enjoyed visiting a few local fishing villages talking to locals and doing a bit of sightseeing. No rush today just wandering around enjoying the sights.

We left Port Soy and headed a few miles up the road to Bow Fiddle Rock. It was nice spot to view some rock features and some abandoned art with stones. It had a some natural caverns carved by sea water.

Cullen

Stopped at Cullen a local Crayfish and fishing village. They only work during summer as the weather changes and gets rough up here quickly.

Next off to the next fishing village very similar to the last.

We stopped off a place for lunch by the sea and it was cold and windy so an outside stay was short.

On to Inverness for our stay for a couple of days. We went for wander into town after eventually finding somewhere to park. Not that many places about again. We did a bit of shopping and planned our trip for the next 2 days. Sorted out our debit card with the bank, then headed up to the Inverness castle which is in the centre of town and is used by the court house. We had a quick look around but will be back tomorrow for a better view.

Van park views

Things we have noted so far.
We heard from the locals and seeing that there are HUGE tides here. When the tide is out it really is out!. Also of note, the roads are rubbish to say the least. Scotland so far is not designed for tourist and large campervans. The roads are narrow especially when driving into see places. Most times people park on 1 or both sides of the road and you are meant to dodge the parked cars with your van or car somehow:) Mostly there is 1 lane to drive down. There is a gutter really close to the edge of the roads even on the highway which are few. A lot of houses are no more 1-2 metres from the roadside to the front door! Prices are similar to home except tartan stuff. Petrol unleaded is UK Pd 1.25 l and diesel about 1.35 a litre UK Pd a bit more expensive than home. The sun is low in the southern sky if you get to see it:) Sunrise is about 7.30am or so. Why do they sell in litres when everything else is in Imperial?? Haven't found out yet.
We are just across the ocean from Norway!!

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
