Exploring Glasgow city today

Today we ventured into the heart of Glasgow city for a look see. We took a train from near us to Central station from there we could wander around and do some sightseeing.

Central station really is a magic place. The design and organisation was really cool to see. It was a very busy place and we were in off peak time. There are multitudes of platforms like 14 or more with trains going everywhere. One of the biggest stations I've seen. There are shops all around and eateries as well.

Lizzy got us underway with her app for walking in towns (GPSmycity). It took us around some of the sights. Once downloaded you don't need wifi access for that town. There are lots to choose from. Choose the one you want and off you go.
Centre of town

Our first stop was the "Lighthouse". It was once the offices for newspaper but now has been turned into centre for about architecture. 3 floors with displays and the Tower. Yep the elevator was out of action, so we walked up about 135 stairs to get to the viewing platform. Just like a lighthouse.

Next Princes Square, St Enoch Square, Argyle St, a "Dr Who telephone box", then Billy Connolly's Mural. Some cool sights and features about.
Glasgow you could class as an industrial type city. Very big and busy.

George's Square war memorial

Eat your heart out Whovians

Lunch at S&M [no wrong guess, Spencer & Mark's :) ]

Next we decided to go visit the Museum of Modern Art. We took a different type of ride there a rickshaw bike.
SSE Hydro entertainment centre seen on the way

They stole of our Opera House :)

Wow what a great place for everyone and its free. They have an enormous range of vehicles from the past to view and you can even go into some of them. Kids there were having a great time.
Replica street inside

Just outside is a Tall ship you can wander around in and see the different parts of the old ship. Great viewing.

Crew quarters

Toilet anyone

Officers quarters and lounge

The Titanic -- No just a tall ship my dear

That was enough so then we headed back to our van via bus, train and taxi.

Great day had by us both again.

Till next time ...... keep living your dream.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
