Day 1 of the cruise

Greetings all that are following our adventures.
Well, we saw on the weather report that it was supposed to snow overnight. Well when we got up we noticed it was, so off to the top deck we went, and yep, heaps of it everywhere. It was such a great sight to see on our first morning on the boat. Winter wonderland it was.

this morning

Top deck snow covered

Some activities were cancelled but our main tour went ahead with snow falling all morning. It was really fluffy snow and it was kind of drifting with the breeze. A lot different to the Snownies when it snowed there. Not all that cold about 1 C.

We got to go up to Buda mountain and see some statues and hear the stories and history of Budapest, some not so nice. I guess given that there has been constant war and takeovers here for centuries and then along come the Germans and the Russians to add to the issues bringing with them Communism and strife. Now the locals are glad they have back Capitalism and freedom and are slowly recovering their economy.

inside the church

The huge church was another sight to see- Yes Europe is full of them, mainly with Catholic origins.
a couple more souvenirs to get rid of the rest of our HUR dollars. Got a couple of gingerbread men though not really ginger tasting.

Off we go back to lunch to have another 5 course meal!! We opted for a simple lunch and will wait for the 5 course meal for tonight. You drink wine or beer as much as you want for dinner and lunch as in my case coke!! Food everywhere all day. Breakfast is early, normal or late. Full or small one. 6.30-10am
sample menu

Our boat is about 130m long and 10m wide and chuffs along pretty well. You can jog around the top (snow allowing). Along the banks are little villages and with the snow they look like jigsaw puzzles or postcard pictures.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
