A Visit to Bath

Yesterday we had a day off as I was not too well, but today we moved onto Bristol for the night. We didn't have to go too far but we wanted to visit Bath.
Bristol views across the river Avon

We caught a bus then a train over to Bath as again - No parks for the big beast we are travelling in.

Bath

It was well worth the trip and we enjoyed the town and visiting the Roman Baths there.
The streets and buildings are really well kept and was nice just wandering around the centre of town taking in the sights.

The Baths was a great place to visit. Much bigger than we expected. You take a self guided tour with audio assistance to walk about and see the different places within the building. As we found out they are still excavating around here because it was such a larger place.

The pools are fed by natural hot springs and cold ones for various purposes.

Natural Hot spring

There were numerous pools in the centre some were used 1 was kept solely for the gods.
only for the gods
They also had there own heating room like a sauna fed by slaves heating wood up.
A floor sat on these and underneath was hot air
People also threw money in the pools to gain favor with the gods.  Also they wrote curse to the gods to bring misfortune to thieves or something done wrong to them. That was funny. Generally minor things.
Money collected from excavation

Loved seeing these

Coin well

The Romans really got about and built this place a long way from home.

Fascinating place to visit. Loved it

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
