Newport and Cardiff

Well we ventured down from Liverpool towards the bottom of Wales due to the van parks have all closed for the year! Only some remain open. We were told that they have to close to show that people are permanently staying there, but we also probably see that this time of year not many people are travelling coming into winter.

In Wrexham on the way through we stopped to see a grand old church and a have a look about. Yep lots of churches around the UK. We also saw the Black & White house.

Stained glass windows are unreal

Today we ventured into Cardiff which is not far away. We have an app that gives us a few local places of interest and I also wanted to check out a few Dr Who and Tourchwood sights used in filming.

We wandered through a nice arcade in the centre of town called the Royal Arcade. Most of the centre is not accessible by car so lots of area to walk about in a mall setup.

We went and had a look at Cardiff Castle which was donated to the city by the Marquis of Bute. His statue is around the place.

Also the National museum, the Cardiff story museum at the Hayes, the Cardiff markets, Cardiff Arms millennium stadium, Millennium Centre, Rohl Dahl Plass, Mermaid Key, the Pier head building and the Norwegian Church and art centre.

Cardiff Arms stadium is where the Welsh play lots of Rugby.

The Millennium Centre is a huge building where lots of plays and musicals are held.

Next to that is Rohl Dahl plass dedicated to him.

Next to that is the Tourchwood headquarters(Mermaid Key) used in that show.

Funny that a Norwegian church is here but it has been here for 150 years.

Other interesting places.
Statue dedicated to Antarctic explorer Scott
Longest place name, along the top. Lots name here have Ll or GG, Dd etc in them. Names are unpronounceable in English. No bearing on our words it seems.

Basking shark from the museum only eats plankton
Cockles
Memorial to Merchant Seaman. Can you see the face?

Till the next blog .. Keep Living your Dream.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive plac...

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to ...
