Paris Day 2

Hi Lovelies,

Today was our final day to see things in Paris, and we certainly made a fine effort to pack as much in as we could.
After breakfast we headed for the Arc De Triomphe to catch the bus. Today we were off to find Montmartre, and and the artist square.

We were unable to find any reference to the square, but not to be deterred we headed in the direction of Basilique Du Sacre-Coeur Chapel. This was amazing, as were the steps to reach it. Being kind to ourselves we caught the cable car up.

Sacre-Coeur Chapel

Back to the amazingness of the chapel. We were blessed to arrive in the midst of a choral and prayer service. The music was so peaceful, and sounded just like you would here in a medieval movie.

The architecture of the church was also amazing, and it is huge, with ceilings that reach for the sky. We also ventured down into the crypt, which was just as large and also had very high ceilings. The crypt has a number of more modern displays telling different biblical stories. It also hosts a collection of robes from the past. Due to no signs in English, we kind of had to wing it with the displays.

A steep walk up or down

From there we were going to head back down the stairs, but made one final attempt to find the artist square. Google placed it not to far away so off we headed. Helen and Sam, we found it! Not only that, I am now the proud owner of original work by Douchon Zivlak. So special.

It was then back down the stairs, onto the bus as headed a Christmas Market we had seen earlier. A took in some local potato and cheese dish and wandered around the stalls.

Next was a visit to the obelisk at the Place de la Concorde it was pretty amazing.

Then we walked from there through the gardens towards the Louvre. We found another artist and this time Robbie bought a small oil painting, and I got my 3rd photo of the day with a strange man. 😊 (but 1 was santa)

Robbie set off to take a shot of the pyramid at the Louvre, while I got taken for 3€ by some woman claiming to be obtaining signatures for a petition for a charity. It was only after I signed the form that she asked for money. Such is life.
The Louvre

Egyptian Obelisk (What a sight)
Back on the bus, we headed for the Eiffel Tower to do an evening river cruise.

It was very pretty and very quiet. The gentle rocking of the boat nearly put s both off to sleep.

We finished the day with a 20 minute walk from the boat to our motel.

Such tired teddies tonight.

Tomorrow is another log day of travelling- wow we have to spend most of our time in an airport, for our quick flight to Budapest.

Take care lovelies, stay safe and keep enjoying life.

Love us.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
