Paris by day and night

Hi lovelies,

Another couple of full days.

We had our last day in Edinburgh on Monday, and we wandered a bit more and tried to see more wonders.

Has a lucky nose !!

You have to hear the story of Blackfriars Bobby (dog)
We visited the Scottish National Museum, and the building was amazing. It was purpose built to house the exhibitions. We had a wonderful time.

This animal has been bred back into existence via Zebras

It was then back to the motel to do the washing and get packed so we could fly out the next day.

Tuesday was an interesting day. We were collected promptly from our motel at 10am, and did not arrive at our motel in Paris until after 8pm. Not bad for a 1 1/2 hour flight. 🥺. We were very tired teddies when we arrived.

Our motel is beautiful, and if we look out the front door we can see the Eiffel Tower. There are a number of cafes nearby and we have sampled the fare at a couple of them.

Last night I tried steak tartare, which I must say was pretty yummy. Robbie had ribs, as he wanted something cooked. 😱

Today we ventured up to the Arc de Triomphe, about 5 minutes from our Motel, and we hopped on the Big Bus for a tour of the city.

One of the things we have noticed about Paris, both last night and today, is that there are no traffic rules. There are 12 roads that go into the roundabout at the Arc. This roundabout is about 6 lanes wide, but you would never know as there are no lines.

The tour of the city highlights was pretty good, though I have no idea how bus drivers, along with anyone else who drives in Paris stays sane. Regardless our bus travelled along at a fine pace until we came back to the Avenue des Champs Élysées.

We had seen a huge number of Gendarmes and Police around, often with convoys of vans rushing around the city. There was a protest today, and some farmers had dumped a load of hay on the road. That stopped the traffic pretty quickly.

We hopped of the bus and headed back to the Arc for a look. There is a walkway under the roundabout so that you can reach the arc, and it is really not until you get beside it that you realise the enormousness of this structure.
It is huge.

We then headed off to find some lunch, and back to the motel for a nap.

Nap done we headed out to find a light diner as tonight we had a city night tour and a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

It was amazing to see the city all lit up, and our driver did a fine job showing us different areas.

We were then taken to the Eiffel Tower where we were escorted to the gates and waited for the lift to take us up. Alas no dinner there as the restaurant is closed, but we did manage a snack.

We had tickets to take us to the top, but when we got to the second floor, where we had to change lifts, I decided that that was high enough. The view was spectacular.
We decided that we would walk back down the 700ish stairs rather than take the elevator back down. A lovely evening stroll.

Great views

Evening done we are now back in our motel and working out our plans for tomorrow.

Take it easy lovelies.

Stay safe and keep enjoying life.

Love us.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
