Aye Laddies and Lassies. Edinburgh we are.

Another Christmas shop!!
Today we dropped off our big monster van, phew, it was good but glad to it is back to the owners now. We caught a light rail into the main city area of Edinburgh to drop our bags off at the motel so we could go exploring.

Divinity college

We wandered around down towards Princes St where there is a big display setup for Christmas. It covers a large area and is really cool. It has food, shops rides and Booze outlets. It was nice to wander around and find unique stuff. As usual Lizabeth was in her element!!

She was brave and went up the Big Circle so we could have a look around the city from up high.

We found some lunch a little stall, so I decided to try some black pudding with my pork burger. It was actually pretty good. We were told it was good, better than haggis I reckon.

Feeling brave we decided to walk up to Edinburgh castle to check it out. A bit uphill most of the way an even in there it is uphill walking around. It is a massive setup and as you can see was well defended with cannons everywhere. It is the home to Royal Scots Dragoons and Soldiers.

We has a look through the memorabilia most of which is military and big on history. This one piece a saddle was worn in the battle of Waterloo! Pretty cool history stuff. It was great seeing all the uniforms and swords etc.

We also ventured into the the vault which holds the Scottish Crown Jewels. None of which are active anymore since Scotland and England joined forces. Cool nonetheless.

We went down into the prison area which was used all the way up until WWII for prisoners. Mostly it used for captured sailors during the past wars with the French and other invaders.

Checkout this beauty of a cannon. It's huge and was used to blast down castle walls with the massive cannon balls.

That was enough for today so off we toddled back to our motel for deserved rest.

New South Wales Adventure - Tenterfield

Hi lovelies, A little earlier start this morning than yesterday.  We were up having a lovely breakfast by 8am.   It was a little sad this morning as we said goodbye to Steph and Leo.  We have had such a blessed time with them and we look forward to catching up with them again when we head to South Australia next year. As the weather was drizzly today we decided to head off to visit some of the nearby National Parks.  Our day consisted of dirt roads, mossy paths, lots of kangaroos and very few cars.  Gramps we are very sorry but the O Mobile is in great need of a bath.  If it rains tonight I will be sending Robbie out in his swimmers to give it a wash. Our first stop was to see Thunderbolts Hideout.  It is a short walk through some bush to see where this apparently "gentlemanly" bushranger hid. It was then back into the car and off to see the Tank Traps that were part of the Brisbane Line.  It is a fairly visually unimpressive place for such an important part

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to
