Nautical ATC Class

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm sharing with you some photos of what ladies got up to in one of our previous Artist Trading Card classes! Obviously this week's ATC's have a nautical theme, so the Couture Creations 'Sea Breeze' die set was the perfect accompaniment! The stunning watery background for both the card and die cuts is attributed to the wonderful Tim Holtz Oxides! These inks are extremely versatile and have such a unique finish. These cards measure at 2.5" x 3.5" and are the perfect size to give as gifts to friends, pop in your daily diary or mix in with your pocket scrapping. Liz used a light layer of clear embossing powder over the oxide inked die-cuts which gives a beautiful watery effect.  If you've been watching our Blog space lately you would know we're currently on a bit of a Crackle Texture Paste craze! I'm sure you will be too after you try it as it truly takes your project up that extra notch! Similarly

Dylusions Dy-Cuts Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, This week's edition of Art Journal is very special, stunning and unique! We can't get enough of all the textures and colours going on in this page! We just love this.  This wonderful page features the Dylusions 'Dy-Cuts' which are quirky and colorful pre-cut shapes which make the perfect addition to any art journal page! You probably can already guess what paints we have used this week... The stunning, vibrant colours which are leaping of this page, are of course, Dylusions paints! When you take a closer look at you can see the texture and elements which have been layered to create this stunning page. A script stamp is perfect for layering and can fill in any gaps where you think something might be missing but not quite sure what! Helen has scattered some of the new Dina Wakley 'Collage Words' across the two pages. These are great as you can add a sentiment to your page whilst still allowing the colours from the background to

Sea Shell Art Journal

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm sharing with you the next addition to Helen's wonderful Art Journal. This week's class was all things under the sea and involved various layers of stamps and stencils to create this stunning oceanic background. This week Helen has included the sentiment 'every shell has a story' in-between the wispy stenciled designs. The stamp featured in this week's class was 'Sea Shells' by Stampendous, which has been water-coloured and highlighted with a white pen. These have then been layered on top and underneath the stenciling to create depth to the page.  Helen has used the dandelion stencil from Celebr8 in amongst other textures and patterns to create the background. This is a perfect example of how you can incorporate products into your project that don't appear to fit the theme. The textured paint and various stenciled designs are a stunning combination which make this page a true stand out!   A final to

This beaded, hand-dyed lace is such a stunning and unique feature. Feel free to bring along any of your own lace to add to this frame if you wish to add a personal touch. Art Journal Birdies

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm showing you inside the wonderful, magical, beautiful Helen Hollands Art Journal! Such lucky little people you are! If you don't know who Helen is, she is our fabulous Mixed Media instructor and creates stunning Art Journal Pages, Mannequins, Albums and many other creations! This page was taught recently in our weekly Art Journal Techniques class and featured Dina Wakley's 'Scribbly Birds' stamp! Helen has used soft, muted blue and green tones in her page which just look stunning! However, there is always the freedom to experiment and try your own thing in Helen's classes which we will show you further on... To create this gorgeous background, Helen has used a tissue paper base with an opaque crackle paint and a selection of pigmented paints. Layers of various patterned stamps and stencils have then been used on top the textured base. Doesn't it look stunning!   The adorable little birds have been stamped and painted
