Hi lovelies, Yesterday we headed an hour north to Jervis Bay because we saw it on the way through and decided to come back for a longer visit. It's a really nice spot. We are camped on the river about 2 mins from the main-town area of Huskisson. This sits right on Jervis Bay. HMAS Success Chinaman's beach - white sand area - Jervis Bay Looking out to the heads Jervis Bay can fit 2 1/2 Sydney Harbours inside it!! It is 10 nautical miles East to West and North to South. The naval base HMAS Creswell, sits to the right side of the bay looking out and is a training and operation base. We have at present a naval boat about to be decommissioned (on 29Jun after 33 years) sitting in the bay. HMAS Success ,which is basically a floating oil tanker to resupply naval boats in operation. Hi all, A few more places that we scene here at Kiama. We ventured down the coast from Sydney 2 days ago during the wild weather. We stopped to view some massive waves along the coast. Winds were up towards 100km/hr on Tuesday. It rained and bucketed down on Wednesday as well. The van sprung a leak and some our bedding got wet. Our van spot Yesterday we venture out to see the big blow hole and the lighthouse here at Kiama. Lovely scenes and some good sights as the swell caused the blowhole to spit out some plumes of water. That was it for yesterday as the weather was bad. Today was a great day. Sunny and little wind to speak of. We set of to see the little blow hole. That even more interesting than the big one. It makes a big woosh sound which caught us of guard and scared the heck out of us. Imagine jet plane passing overhead.
