Art Journal Fairy Houses

Hi Lovelies, At the start of this year the lovely Helen began our year of Art Journal classes  with this adorable page of fairy houses.  All the pages were hand printed using a Gel Press Plate, allowing each student to personalize their pages and the final outcome of their project.  After everyone had printed their pages, they then cut different shapes and arranged them to form little houses.  Students then added the final details of outlining,  stenciling vines and punching flowers. How adorable is this tiny little spider and it's web? Helen has quite the collection of art Journals and there is always one in store for you to browse. So come on in for a cup of tea and an up-close look at her masterpieces.

Vintage Artistry Cards

Hi Lovelies,  The wonderful Linda has joined us again to create some seriously stunning  cards with the 'Vintage Artistry' collection from 49 and Market.  Linda designed and taught these three amazing cards a few weeks ago, and the ladies were nothing but impressed  with how they turned out! These papers are just perfect for fussy-cutting as there are so many  flowers, ferns and leaves to embellish with! To continue with the vintage theme of the collection, Linda distressed the papers and fussy-cut elements. This step is optional, yet it adds an extra element to these stunning cards. As always with Linda, a card is never truly finished without a sweet little something inside.  Linda used stained muslin, jute twine and a fussy-cut  butterfly to complete this card.  Linda's second card features a coordinating envelope embellishment to  store an eclectic of fussy-cut elements and distressed muslin.  How sweet!

Ileana Mannequin

Hi Lovelies, With Christmas getting closer and closer every day,  the ladies at the Scrap N Patch are in full Christmas mode!  So, that calls for a Christmas mannequin! What's better than a beautifully decorated Christmas tree,  with twinkling mini star Christmas lights? Not much, Except Ileana. Ileana is an eclectic statement of all things Christmas,  combined to make a stunning dress! Her bodice is covered with delicate vintage lace,  bold poinsettias and tiny diamantes that twinkle just like Christmas lights  when they catch a ray of light. This stunning mannequin is so easy to personalise to your favourite  Christmas theme to match the rest of your home!  This mannequin is just stunning from every single angle!  How gorgeous is the gold bow on the back of Ileana's dress?  Helen never ceases to impress us with each mannequin - and they're all so unique and different! Winter Wonderland Mega Scrap

Hi Lovelies,  With only a few days left till our final Mega Scrap for the year,  I thought I might tease you with a few sneak peek photos  from these STUNNING layouts! Helen has used the sparkling new Graphic 45 range 'Winter Wonderland'  to create ten gorgeous layouts for the ten lucky ladies attending!    The range is filled with adorable little birds amongst pine trees, holly and poinsettia,  you might even spy a few tiny squirrels! Each layout is unique and involves various techniques which  can be used in all of your other projects.  Our Mega Scrap classes are truly something special as Helen is so talented, caring and entertaining.    I don't know about you, but these layouts are just stunning! I can't take my eyes off them. Look at this stunning chipboard accent with a beautiful layer of shimmery glitter. Our Mega Scrap Classes often sell out right away, so if you're lucky enough  to be coming this

Vintage Artistry Double Layout

Hi Lovelies, What says Spring more than loads of beautiful butterflies, adorable little birds and wispy ferns?  Not much I don't think. These beautiful images come from Helen's Double Layout Class featuring 'Vintage Artistry' by 49 and Market. The collection is just stunning and Helen has truly done it justice by turning it into a wonderful double page creation! Helen used a lovely chipboard sentiment from Celebr8's collection 'Good Vibes'. A finishing touch of Glossy Accents was added to the chipboard and fussy-cut butterflies. This style of layout is the perfect way to use up all your left over pieces of paper, ribbon cut-offs and anything else you could think of! Sounds great to me! Helen created this adorable pocket from some of the Vintage Artistry embellishments. It could be used purely for decorative purposes or the perfect little place to store keepsakes and letters. The various layers of paper, hessi

Go Press and Foil Fun

Hi lovelies, Yesterday a couple of ladies joined me for a morning of playing with the Couture Creations Go Press and Foil Machine. We had such a fun time, and ladies created some lovely samples. Some we turned into card fronts and some even got turned into cards.   Everything was going along just fine. Then we started foiling ribbon. One of the ladies used the "Celebrate" Stamp to create this. We were all thought that the stamp was faulty. We even went so far as to call the lovely ladies at ArtDeco Creations to ask if anyone else had experienced the same problem. Then we found out that if you put it the correct way up it is just perfect. I often joke that we "Hill-folk" are a little different.  We laughed and laughed. Hope it made you smile.

Christmas Countdown

Hi Lovelies, It's coming to that time of the year again where everything seems to turn red, green and covered in glitter (not that there's anything wrong with that!). However, things can get a little stressful, so the wonderful Helen has designed this Mixed Media Christmas Countdown to help you wind down and keep track of the days. This 14 x 14" Countdown board features an interchangeable panel  which can be a fun weekly task for kids, or a simple reminder for how many  weeks there are left to plan the Christmas menu. There are so many gorgeous little embellishments adorning the surrounding frame, including vintage stamp cutouts, twine bows, shiny jingle bells,  pine sprigs and straw stars. What's Christmas without Nutcrackers? Helen couldn't forget these tiny little men and these ones are just way too sweet.   Some glittery Christmas sentiments are also nestled in among the pine sprigs. This Christmas Countdown is a b
