We have visited some more very interesting places in the past 2 days. Yesterday we left our site at Stockton-on-Tees and headed to see the Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum. This was our choice to try and see some of Hadrian’s Wall before leaving England. The wall stretched across the country Model of what was here The museum was pretty cool with lots of display of items that had been found while the old fort was being excavated. The fort was at the far eastern end of Hadrian’s Wall, and is interestingly called “Walls End” 😊 Part of what's left of the wall. The ruin area is quite large and while there is no actual buildings still standing the locations of the buildings are outlined with stones. There is only a small part of the wall left, but it was cool to actually see it. From there we headed off, left England and crossed back into Scotland. Our destination was the lovely town of Melrose. Our van park was right...
