Day 6 - Tin Can Bay

Evening lovelies, Today was a little different. This morning we ventured off the the local second hand store, where I picked up some books to keep in the van ready for our next trip.  A bargain at 10 books for $5.  Even Robbie got 3 for himself. We then had an early lunch and it was off the the Country Club for a round of golf.  No sillies, I did not play, but I did have fun in driving the buggy and laughing at the boys.  Alas Nana was a little ill today, so she stayed home. It is the first time I have been on a golf course in about 30 years, and I have never seen Gramps and Rob play together.  It is quite the experience. 😁 Gramps is left handed and he mostly hit his balls down the left side of the course. Rob is right handed and played mostly down the right hand side of the course, and a little in the trees. I could have taken some photos of them making good shots, but where is the fun in that.  😂 I think it was a good id...

Day 3 - Tin Can Bay

Evening Lovelies, This morning we set the alarm for 6.30am so that we could go down and feed the dolphins at Barnacles.  It was a little chilly this morning with the temperature at 3 degrees, but the wind was a pretty gusty so it seemed cooler.  My family must love me that they got out of their warm beds at that time to go and paddle in the water. We did think that there would not be so many people there due to it being a week day, but we were wrong. We only saw one dolphin this morning, his name is Mystique.  He was the alpha of the pod and is about 28 years old.  He was very gentle and a little battered as you would expect from an animal of his age.  Andrew, Rob and I all took a turn at giving him a little treat.   Back to the van park for a cuppa and then Gramps gave Rob a lesson on how to put the annex up on the van.  It did not seem too hard, and hopefully Robbie will remember how to put it up next time we need it....
