Nautical ATC Class

Hi Lovelies, Today I'm sharing with you some photos of what ladies got up to in one of our previous Artist Trading Card classes! Obviously this week's ATC's have a nautical theme, so the Couture Creations 'Sea Breeze' die set was the perfect accompaniment! The stunning watery background for both the card and die cuts is attributed to the wonderful Tim Holtz Oxides! These inks are extremely versatile and have such a unique finish. These cards measure at 2.5" x 3.5" and are the perfect size to give as gifts to friends, pop in your daily diary or mix in with your pocket scrapping. Liz used a light layer of clear embossing powder over the oxide inked die-cuts which gives a beautiful watery effect.  If you've been watching our Blog space lately you would know we're currently on a bit of a Crackle Texture Paste craze! Art Journal 28th July

Hi Lovelies, Here is one of our previous Art Journal Technique classes ran by the wonderful Helen.  Lots of tearing, stamping and inking was involved in the process of this  gorgeous page which ensured the ladies had bundles of fun! For the statement of the page, ladies created four tags using Distress Oxides  and torn music paper to feature stamped dragonflies. Helen used layers of book paper, music paper, stenciled texture paste and  script stamps to build up the background of the page. Helen's Art Journal pages quite often include a quote, phrase or sentiment.  For this page the quote "Art has no rules so have fun!" was included across both pages.   Helen used a multi-size circle stencil and some texture paste to add dimension to the page.  The texture paste can be inked lightly with your favourite colour to lift it off the page.
