Such a blessed time.

Hi lovelies, We have had such a wonderful time with the family at Patanga and yesterday we were blessed to witness the arrival of two beautiful little kids. We were on our way to a BBQ when the kids were born.   We stopped to check on the mum to see how she was going.   She was having a little trouble and unfortunately her first kid was a breach birth and did not survive.   It was a harsh reminder that life on the land can be harsh.   It was all hands on deck for the arrival of the next little girl. Mum gave her a bit of a check out. Then it was not long before the her sister arrived. We left them to settle and headed back off to the back of the back of the property for our late lunch BBQ.   Andrew and Amelia had the fire going and Rob and I along with Jaime and Kay (Jaime’s mum) joined them.   It did look like a family conference was happening to see where to put the billy 😀 Corn and potatoes in the coals, sausages a...

More fun with the goats

Hi lovelies, We are still in Tooma on the goat farm. We have been having such a wonderful time and trying to be more help than hindrance. Just sharing some of the photos from the last few days. Amelia was teaching the Augustus to accept the halter. Robbie trying to move Matilda out of the road so we could open the gates. Opening the side of the crush to give the calf some room after milking Heffney. Having a laugh at Poppet and Banjo who decided the chicken shed was a great place to escape the rain. Amelia and I took a trip into Corryong for some supplies (and to play ladies and have some lunch). We learned how to use the camp oven, and made a beautiful roast pork dinner.  Rosie decided it was a great place to warm up her old bones. We were taken for a trip up to some of the back pastures where the view was fabulous.  We saw a wombat.   ...
