Vintage Artistry Cards

Hi Lovelies,

The wonderful Linda has joined us again to create some seriously stunning
cards with the 'Vintage Artistry' collection from 49 and Market.

Linda designed and taught these three amazing cards a few weeks ago,
and the ladies were nothing but impressed
with how they turned out!

These papers are just perfect for fussy-cutting as there are so many
flowers, ferns and leaves to embellish with!

To continue with the vintage theme of the collection, Linda distressed the papers and fussy-cut elements. This step is optional, yet it adds an extra element to these stunning cards.

As always with Linda, a card is never truly finished without a sweet little something inside.
Linda used stained muslin, jute twine and a fussy-cut
butterfly to complete this card.

Linda's second card features a coordinating envelope embellishment to
store an eclectic of fussy-cut elements and distressed muslin.
How sweet!

Anything could be added to the feature envelope depending on your taste.
It's all about layers and fussy-cutting when
it comes to Linda's cards!

Here's a little peak inside.
A few strips of patterned paper, muslin and
fussy-cutting to finish it off.

The final card focuses on more of the green tones from the paper range by using
green card-stock as the base and a few hints
of Tim Holtz distress ink.

Every piece of paper has a purpose; even the barcode.
Linda used this piece as a sentiment with a bit of stenciling and distressing to complete.

Linda's cards are just stunning!
Keep your eyes out for her next class to join in the fun.
In the meantime, come down to the Scrap N Patch to pick up the
last of these gorgeous papers before they run out!

Hi all, Here a brief overview of our 2 day adventure on Fraser Island with Fraser Island Explorer Tours. Here is a link to our trip in video format.  https://youtu.be/QY8tr093G4o We were picked up from our accommodation by our tour guide who then picked up some more of our group and headed to the barge to go across to the Island. It was very smooth no seasickness this time :) We got on the 4x4 wheel bus and headed inland to Lake Mackenzie. This was a very picturesque spot. The water was very cool and the sand as white as we've seen it. After this we headed to Central station , the old tree clearing head quarters. Next we headed for Lake Wobby which was a 45 min trek in and 45 out across lots of sand. It sits on a big sand-blow which will eventually disappear. A small fresh water lake with a couple of cat fish in it. Then off to our accommodation for the night. The next day we headed out to run the beach pretty much all day heading all the way up to Champagne Pools. We eventua...

Three days in the snow.

Hi lovelies, We have had the most amazing 3 days at the Perisher Valley Snowfields. Warning this is a very text heavy post.  Photos are limited, you cannot take many while you ski/board.  Robbie will have a video soon. On Monday we headed up just for a drive and to see what was around.   The day was perfect.   Not too windy and bright and sunny. We parked at Bullock Flats and caught the Skitube to Perisher.   This is really the best way to get there.   Nice highway all the way, and while the train is a little expensive at $55.00 per head return it is preferable to an extra hour drive on roads that may be a little less than ideal.   There is also only limited parking at Perisher so the train is the way to go.   We had a bit of a look around Perisher before heading off to Blue Cow, again by Skitube. It was so lovely to wander around.      We were thankful that we hired boots as it wa...
