Art Journal Class 27th June

Hi Lovelies,

Yesterday some of our Art Journal ladies gathered for a class
with Helen to create this beautiful page.

As always, the ladies have endless amount of fun, while learning new techniques
and leaving with their very own masterpiece.

The ladies began by spritzing their page with Tim Holtz Distress sprays and Dylusions to create a base.
Jo Sonja's paint was then added to a few sections for more dimension.

A multi size circle stencil was then used with Jo Sonja's
paints to add small pops of colour.

The key to a good art journal page is layers, so another
was added to the page using various stamps in different colours.

After a light wash of Dylusions 'White Linnen' to soften and blend everything
together, the ladies were ready to draw and colour their flowers.

The pages turned out beautifully and everyone was
very impressed with their work.

When you look closely, there are so many elements to this page that
all work together to create a mini masterpiece.

A little bit of black grease pencil around the edges made the flowers stand
out on the page and was the final touch to this stunning project.

Our Art Journal classes are held on Tuesdays and Fridays
and are always full of fun and laughter.

Call our lovely ladies at the Scrap N Patch if you
would like to share in the fun.

Hi all, Here a brief overview of our 2 day adventure on Fraser Island with Fraser Island Explorer Tours. Here is a link to our trip in video format.  https://youtu.be/QY8tr093G4o We were picked up from our accommodation by our tour guide who then picked up some more of our group and headed to the barge to go across to the Island. It was very smooth no seasickness this time :) We got on the 4x4 wheel bus and headed inland to Lake Mackenzie. This was a very picturesque spot. The water was very cool and the sand as white as we've seen it. After this we headed to Central station , the old tree clearing head quarters. Next we headed for Lake Wobby which was a 45 min trek in and 45 out across lots of sand. It sits on a big sand-blow which will eventually disappear. A small fresh water lake with a couple of cat fish in it. Then off to our accommodation for the night. The next day we headed out to run the beach pretty much all day heading all the way up to Champagne Pools. We eventua...
