A morning at Eumundi

Hi lovelies,

We had such a fun day today.  It was a bit of a late start as it was a bit cool overnight.  I thought if I got up too early I would need to put shoes on 😆.

After breakfast we headed into Eumundi to visit the famous markets.

We were very blessed to find a park right beside the stairs and so off we went.

The markets are huge and we spent all our two our parking limit wandering around the stalls.  The markets host such a wide range of goods.  Clothes, candles, leather goods, wood works, jewelery and of course food stalls.

While wandering we met Jasmine.  She is such a sweetie.

Jasmin is from the Maleny Botanical Gardens and we think we might visit her again while we are here.

She is very very gentle and her owner even convinced me to have her rest on my arm.  As bird feeding is a blood sport for me.  He spoke to Jasmin and told her to be very gentle.  She stood so softly on my arm and did not draw one drop of blood.

We then went for a short walk up the main street.  Outside the pub we spotted this well used piano.

We left the markets and headed back to the van.  On the way  my lovely husband indulged my wishes to pause at a number of spots to grab shots of some local artworks.
I love the way people have included old cars/trucks as part of their gardens.

This is a mail box with a difference....

...and it is protected by this unusual specimen.  We tried to work out if it was a odd looking turtle or perhaps a bushranger.

Then this beautiful little man standing guard over his owners letterbox.

We stopped at the little town of Belli Park where these structures are.

It was then back to the van, some lunch and then a nap.  A hard day.

Take care lovelies, stay safe and keep enjoying life.

Love Us.

Hi all, Here a brief overview of our 2 day adventure on Fraser Island with Fraser Island Explorer Tours. Here is a link to our trip in video format.  https://youtu.be/QY8tr093G4o We were picked up from our accommodation by our tour guide who then picked up some more of our group and headed to the barge to go across to the Island. It was very smooth no seasickness this time :) We got on the 4x4 wheel bus and headed inland to Lake Mackenzie. This was a very picturesque spot. The water was very cool and the sand as white as we've seen it. After this we headed to Central station , the old tree clearing head quarters. Next we headed for Lake Wobby which was a 45 min trek in and 45 out across lots of sand. It sits on a big sand-blow which will eventually disappear. A small fresh water lake with a couple of cat fish in it. Then off to our accommodation for the night. The next day we headed out to run the beach pretty much all day heading all the way up to Champagne Pools. We eventua...

Three days in the snow.

Hi lovelies, We have had the most amazing 3 days at the Perisher Valley Snowfields. Warning this is a very text heavy post.  Photos are limited, you cannot take many while you ski/board.  Robbie will have a video soon. On Monday we headed up just for a drive and to see what was around.   The day was perfect.   Not too windy and bright and sunny. We parked at Bullock Flats and caught the Skitube to Perisher.   This is really the best way to get there.   Nice highway all the way, and while the train is a little expensive at $55.00 per head return it is preferable to an extra hour drive on roads that may be a little less than ideal.   There is also only limited parking at Perisher so the train is the way to go.   We had a bit of a look around Perisher before heading off to Blue Cow, again by Skitube. It was so lovely to wander around.      We were thankful that we hired boots as it wa...
