A day at Narooma

Hi lovelies,

After a cool blowy night we work this morning to beautiful sunshine and just a gentle breeze.

After breakfast we decided to go for a walk on the beach at the front of the park.

It was lovely to walk along the sand.  Rock formations enclose both ends of the bay,

and there is a secluded area at the north end where Robbie thinks he might try his hand at fishing soon.

The view out to Montague Island is pretty.  Not pretty enough for Rob to agree to a trip out there, but pretty none the less.  😏

We had some debate about why these holes were in the rocks.  I think they are for penguins, or sand fairies. 😄

We did see a man fishing on the beach.  He had caught a tailor.  Robbie had a chat with him about bait/lures etc and so after our walk it was a trip into town to visit the information center, and for Robbie to collect supplies from the tackle shop.

On the way back to the ban we decided to stop again at the breakwater to see if we could catch a glimpse of more seals.

We were so blessed.  There were more of them sunning themselves today.

This group was pretty funny, one just vegging, one doing yoga to get some sun on his belly,

one doing yoga to get some sun on his belly,

and one snuggled from the wind.

We are surprised at how they manage to get up on some of the rocks.

They have such big and not so pretty feet.

Back to the van and as promised here are some photos of the beautiful golf course that surrounds us.

Judy, I think that Andrew might be in trouble with these greens.  With his power I think he should shoot for the bunkers, at least the ball would not go over the edge.😅

Back to the van, lunch and some fishing for Rob, then a nap and some more fishing.

Take it easy lovelies,

Stay safe and keep enjoying life.

Love us.

Hi all, Here a brief overview of our 2 day adventure on Fraser Island with Fraser Island Explorer Tours. Here is a link to our trip in video format.  https://youtu.be/QY8tr093G4o We were picked up from our accommodation by our tour guide who then picked up some more of our group and headed to the barge to go across to the Island. It was very smooth no seasickness this time :) We got on the 4x4 wheel bus and headed inland to Lake Mackenzie. This was a very picturesque spot. The water was very cool and the sand as white as we've seen it. After this we headed to Central station , the old tree clearing head quarters. Next we headed for Lake Wobby which was a 45 min trek in and 45 out across lots of sand. It sits on a big sand-blow which will eventually disappear. A small fresh water lake with a couple of cat fish in it. Then off to our accommodation for the night. The next day we headed out to run the beach pretty much all day heading all the way up to Champagne Pools. We eventua...

Three days in the snow.

Hi lovelies, We have had the most amazing 3 days at the Perisher Valley Snowfields. Warning this is a very text heavy post.  Photos are limited, you cannot take many while you ski/board.  Robbie will have a video soon. On Monday we headed up just for a drive and to see what was around.   The day was perfect.   Not too windy and bright and sunny. We parked at Bullock Flats and caught the Skitube to Perisher.   This is really the best way to get there.   Nice highway all the way, and while the train is a little expensive at $55.00 per head return it is preferable to an extra hour drive on roads that may be a little less than ideal.   There is also only limited parking at Perisher so the train is the way to go.   We had a bit of a look around Perisher before heading off to Blue Cow, again by Skitube. It was so lovely to wander around.      We were thankful that we hired boots as it wa...
