Another lovely day

Hi lovelies,

This morning we set of for the little town of Gloucester. The drive through was so very pretty, and the roads were not too bad.

We had a walk around the town gardens and checked out the Human Sun Dial.

This was so cool, and while we were shocked it was accurate I think we should not have been so skeptical.

The gardens in the town also hold a number of sporting centres.  The pool, tennis, so car, netball, croquet, football and cricket. Great for parents who have kids doing different sports I think.  All in one spot.

A walk along the river bank gave views of crystal clear water, which I can only imagine would have been a tad cool.

We spotted some birds and random poles.

From Gloucester we ventured to see the Monkerai Bridge.  I had seen this on a web site as something worth a visit.  It is the second oldest timber truss bridge in NSW.

The site did say that the bridge was closed for repairs, but that detours were in place.  You know that Robbie is always up for a road adventure.  We turned off the highway and immediately hit a dirt road 🤣

It was only 6km to the bridge, but the road did have some scary drop off bits.  When we got to the bridge it was closed for repairs, but no detours and you could not see anything other than security fencing.  😞

We did however see some camels.  Nearly as good.

Our next destination was the lovely village of Dungog, the home of Max Walker.

Again lots of lovely old buildings.

 An amazing cinema.

We even managed to catch some passengers who had got off a train for a stretch.  We did wonder what adventure they were off on.

We had a few stops on the way home to take pictures of random bridges.

Stopped at Stroud Road to visit Limestone Farm and see what their market shop had on offer.

A detour into the Monastery of The Blessed Virgin Mary just outside Stroud.  Another place you could not go in, but could take photos.

It was then back to the van for a rest and relax and receive a visit from this cheeky one.

Finally a random letterbox, taken outside a bakehouse.

Such a fun day.

All for now lovelies,

Take care and keep enjoying life.

Love Us.

Hi all, Here a brief overview of our 2 day adventure on Fraser Island with Fraser Island Explorer Tours. Here is a link to our trip in video format.  https://youtu.be/QY8tr093G4o We were picked up from our accommodation by our tour guide who then picked up some more of our group and headed to the barge to go across to the Island. It was very smooth no seasickness this time :) We got on the 4x4 wheel bus and headed inland to Lake Mackenzie. This was a very picturesque spot. The water was very cool and the sand as white as we've seen it. After this we headed to Central station , the old tree clearing head quarters. Next we headed for Lake Wobby which was a 45 min trek in and 45 out across lots of sand. It sits on a big sand-blow which will eventually disappear. A small fresh water lake with a couple of cat fish in it. Then off to our accommodation for the night. The next day we headed out to run the beach pretty much all day heading all the way up to Champagne Pools. We eventua...

Three days in the snow.

Hi lovelies, We have had the most amazing 3 days at the Perisher Valley Snowfields. Warning this is a very text heavy post.  Photos are limited, you cannot take many while you ski/board.  Robbie will have a video soon. On Monday we headed up just for a drive and to see what was around.   The day was perfect.   Not too windy and bright and sunny. We parked at Bullock Flats and caught the Skitube to Perisher.   This is really the best way to get there.   Nice highway all the way, and while the train is a little expensive at $55.00 per head return it is preferable to an extra hour drive on roads that may be a little less than ideal.   There is also only limited parking at Perisher so the train is the way to go.   We had a bit of a look around Perisher before heading off to Blue Cow, again by Skitube. It was so lovely to wander around.      We were thankful that we hired boots as it wa...
